Acquisition of Aculight Corporation

Lockheed Martin has completed its acquisition of Aculight Corporation. The acquisition was originally announced on July 28, 2008. Lockheed Martin Aculight will become an integral part of Lockheed Martin’s Maritime Systems & Sensors business located in Akron, OH. Lockheed Martin Aculight employees will remain in Bothell, Washington and will be fully integrated into Lockheed Martin MS2 Integrated Defense Technologies. Lockheed Martin Aculight can provide all functions from basic research through product development and manufacture based on a broad portfolio of internal technologies including solid state lasers, fiber lasers, mid-IR lasers, nonlinear optics, optical parametric oscillators, and spectrally beam combined high brightness lasers.
